Radio Shuttle Racking System

The shuttle racking system is a semi-automated storage system that utilizes specially designed shuttle carts equipped with radio frequency technology to transport pallets to the desired storage location within the racking structure.

When Is Shuttle Racking Used?

This system is mainly used when handling numerous pallets per SKU and aiming for increased storage density.

However, it should not be used if you require frequent access to all pallets and the ability to select from them or when contact between pallets is necessary.

Key Features

  • Clear Aisles: Offers ample clearance ranging from 3 to 3.4 meters, providing sufficient space for shuttle cart movement.
  • FIFO System Support: Supports the FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory management method, ensuring proper stock rotation.
  • Radio Shuttle Supports: Utilizes a radio shuttle supports system, enabling efficient movement of pallets within the racking structure.
  • High Storage Capacity: Shuttle pallet racking allows storing up to four pallets deep, significantly increasing storage capacity.
  • Forklift-Free Operation: Pallets are transported to and from the racks by shuttle carts, eliminating the need for forklifts to enter the aisles.
  • Optimized Space Utilization: The warehouse shuttle system maximizes storage utilization by 85-90%, ensuring efficient use of available space.
